I topped off the radiator and started the compressor to observe if any gas bubbles were coming through the coolant (didn't see any).
I noticed that the belt was barely moving. It was pretty loose but the alternator was still where I left it, so the belt stretched quite a bit. I had to push the alternator to its extreme to get it tight again. I didn't run it long, but it still backfired on shutdown.
I'm gonna try running it some more and see if this was just a fluke caused by the belt stretching or something else. Never had a belt stretch that much that fast (Napa brand belt).
