tubes are a better design in some ways for offroad. I have seen quite a few tubeless wheeled vehicles break off valve stems. not an issue with tubes. Also I got stuck one time where my front axle was jammed between a rock and an old growth cedar stump. the rock was pushing on the side wall of the tire so far I could see inside my rim. had to cut the old growth stump away with a machete and a hammer. took almost 2 hours to get unstuck! tire and tube were just fine. a tubeless radial would never have handled that scenario. I was so stuck the superwinch hubs both broke trying to break through. the MU2 would not pull me through either. zigged when I should have zagged. ;/)
