On my 62 ffpw at the top of the cabs door jamb is a mechanism that acts like a sliding spring loaded wedge. On both my doors jambs this unit is broke in the same place. the spring impinges upon a far too delicate L shaped piece of stamped sheet metal. I am wondering if everyone's out there is broken or if perhaps I'm singular in this aspect?
It is my impression this device must be either for anti slamming the door or for anti rattle any thoughts there? Im probably going to tig weld mine back together, but iI dont see then lasting long...
