I tore into the WC on Saturday. Got the 327 pulled along with the slush-box, hydro boost, and old hanging pedal setup. The "new" 350 with the serpentine setup (I just don't have any good Chrysler motors lying around..if anyone had say a spare 383 with flywheel and a bellhouse they wanted to get rid of?)and the 465/205 hanging in place. I also got the new hanging pedals and vacuum booster mounted up.
Now to the short list:
Adjust pedals and reinforce firewall.
Fab new bracket for the slave cylinder.
Mount and wire electric fan (should get here wednesday, the Serpentine brackets and long style water pump make the overall length too long for an engine driven fan)
Fab new cross member for the trans/t-case.
Bolt the exhaust back up.
Drop out old divorce mounted 205.
Build new drive shafts (I'm using the old yoke and u-joints from the 3/4 ton front axle).
If I get the time over the rest of this week and into the weekend I will have her back on the road by Sunday!
Best part of the whole thing is that since I had to raise the motor up 2" so I could gain more room under the transmission is that I now have room for A MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP!
