I have the filter about three inches from the tank, I have a hard line coming out of the tank, and then the rubber hose to the filter, maybe 4 inches, and it was packed. The fuel lines are new from the start of the truck, had maybe three tanks of fuel, the smaller tank, run thru em. Yeah this rust is definitely from the tank. I had the tank cleaned to get the varnish and they left it bare metal inside, so Im sure that is what happened. I cut corners for not treating it before I put it in, I shoulda known.
Thanks for the offer for the hose, I have a length of 2 ft of the hose I used for it, so Im good, thanks.
What did you use to clean and seal yours? Which one did you do, is it a half tank or a full tank.
