From the inside out, I have:
- Steel on bottom, bead board exterior plywood on top
- Fiberglass insulation with the facing in, stapled to the studs
- Tyvek wrap over the outside of the studs
- Purlins to attaché the siding
- 1" red oak siding
I plan to heat the floor just enough to make it comfortable to work in the winter. I have woodstove for the really cold days.
Last summer was the first year for the slab and the landscaping wasn't done to route the water away. Water was coming up through the floor. Also, when the slab and everything in the barn was cold and I opened the doors on a warm day, everything was soaking wet.
This year the slab has dried out due to the landscaping and 18" overhang on the roof. Under the slab is 4-6" of gravel covered with 1/2" open cell foam and the tubing. With four garage doors, I can get a nice breeze going.
