I have a length of spiral wound choke cable casing that I have used on several occasions over the years for this kind of problem. It is both highly tempered yet very flexible. When used in a cordless drill, it will make it around amazingly tight bends and the buttend of the leading winding (when spinning in the right direction)will chafe away a (not too unreasonable) obstruction. Failing that, I'd grit my teeth, yard the tank out again, do it right and feel good about it for years. Best of luck, R
