I have never seen anything else that has it. to me that doesnt mean it is a bad idea. oiled bearings is better than grease but wC/PWs are made to be in offroad situations most the time. so I like it. but to be honest if my outer seal starts leaking gear oil into the hub I dont worry about it. I have never had a bearing fail on one of these truck with or without the seal in good shape.
