What are you planning to do with the truck? I know you are in west texas so I imagine sand and no snow? Also are you keeping stock axles? My wife's jeep has the goodyear mtr tires and we MIGHT get 40-45K out of them. I have never had mud tires last more than 40K on my diesel pickup and even the current cooper all terrains are pretty worn with around 30K on them. I don't have a functional odometer on my m37 but would be surprised to get 25K out of a mud tire on an off road truck especially a heavy one. If you can get by with an all terrain you might have better luck or if you are willing to run them to the cords. I personally feel I want/need the deep tread (otherwise I would buy a street tire right?) and so I replace with more tread than some people might.
