I went back to NAPA with the caliper that I couldn't get on the rotor. They gave me another, that was obvious the piston was deeper. Got home and yeah it fit no problem.
I bled the brakes as best I could by myself. It was firm sitting there.
So I took it for a drive, thats when I found the pedal went to the floor. They will still slow and stop the truck, but I need to bleed and possible adjust them again.
So as I went for a drive, I had the normal bounce that I thought was from the tires, bias ply, ya know, the flat spots. But as I drove, it got worse. I slowed down and it went away, so I sped up and it got worse again. I sped up a a little more to see what happened, and it got even worse.
So I pulled to a side street thinking I had a loose wheel. Looked, nothing. So I limped it home and jacked it up.
Wiggled the drivers wheel, nothing. Wiggled the passenger side. Yeah, dumb ass, I didn't tighten the tie rod nut on the passenger side. Thats the kinda crap that scares me about me doin this and not knowing all of what Im doing. Anyway, I tightened it up and tomorrow Ill do the brakes again and try for a drive again.
Check out my GoPro video and yuoll be able to tell just what happens
