Rear axle pinion seal 49 FFPW??

The rear seal is leaking on my 49 power wagon rear differential. THis is where the rear drive shaft connects with the rear end. I hear there is a kit that would update that to a modern seal so it does not leak?? Anyone give me some guidance on these. Thank you
