See attachment - I had seen a vintage ad for these but never seen a pair in person. Not sure when they were manufactured but guessing they preceded the locking hub or a cheaper alternative, thinking the former. They have roller bearings and a stainless sleeve.
They are as I found them under the seat of an original owner/family 1948 Power Wagon. Pretty cool.
