I wonder if they just do that with ARs or they also do the CNC on AK 80% receivers (all they need is some holes drilled) or 1911 frames (a CNC could start from a raw hunk of steel plate).
Can't say I'd spend the extra $300 on logo, though. Maybe stamp something on it somewhere so they could identify it if it was stolen, but that's it.
The advantage I can see to a plastic, aluminum, and stainless gun is that you can leave it out in the rain, or in the toolbox in the back of your truck, or carry it around in the woods, and not worry about it getting rusty and the wood getting cracked. It can be a beater, in other words.
