The 8274 looks the best on any vintage truck if you ask me. They have great line speed and a lot of cable. I think they may be worth the money but that said I think there are better values out there for most applications. I personally like my Warn VR series because it is US built feels reasonable high quality and a 10K # winch is half the price new of the 8274. If you were spending the $1800 for a new 8274 I would personally buy the Warn with the air compressor. I would use the air compressor more than the winch I think.
I like the concept of hydraulic and I have a mile marker on my M37 now but have not used it yet. I think (but am not sure) that the mile marker products are made over seas. I have never found a tag indicating where mine was made.
