greetings. my son has a sponge bob fridge that was a gift given to him several years ago. it is one of those small 'fridge' units that can hold about 4 small bottles of water. he has used it daily, keeping it stocked with water for him and his brother. worked great. took it with us on trips. stopped working. the 2 pin female plug - 12v that goes into the side of the fridge, lost one of the collars (female) that contacts the male round pin on the fridge. both the cigarette lighter adapter plug and the 110 to 12v plug have suffered this fate. anyway, i would like to bypass the fridge mounted outlet and solder in a patch cord with a male cigarette lighter end. that way, the fridge cord will be permanently attached and then can be used either 12v in a car or 110v by plugging the cigarette lighter end into a 110 to cigarette lighter female. unit reads - cool mode - 40w and warm mode 32w. fuse inside the cigarette lighter male reads F5A 250V. will a 6amp converter as below work for what i have planned???
