Ya the slaves wear out pretty quick. I usually use a hone with brake fluid, clean it out good and a put a new kit (piston with new rubber) in it. I never go anywhere without a spare slave. Easy to replace. John Geidl has rebuilt ones sleeved with stainless. However you said the fluid level does not go down, so I don't know... rebuild both.
