Don't worry about the postings, I don't want to scare anyone away, between the photo classifieds, CDs, banner ads, and donations the forum is doing just fine. Winter was busier than now. We get about 8,000 visits a week, compared to 10,000 a week in the winter.
Photos will load up from your server, so it won't affect my bandwidth. I like seeing the pictures posted.
When I don't have time to refresh the forum, and it grows to 1500 messages, is usually when I get whacked for a couple extra bucks, but as long as I keep an eye on it, I'm fine.
I hate making rules up on the forum, I have too many things that I can't remember to do already, so enjoy the forum, write till your heart's content!
