I purchased my first WDX Power Wagon in 1980. The first few years were a real problem trying to find parts, let alone other enthusiasts to share information with. Those were some lean years. For me at least the hobby is much more fun and rewarding today. I gladly pay what it takes to get that scarce part that someone has: done the research to find, made the contacts to purchase, traveled half way around the world to gather, hasseled with the authorities to import, shelved in a dry place, inspected for quality, inventoried, catalogued and advertised, employed someone to take my call and answer my questions, employed someone to carefully pack and ship safely to my door step, done the accounting to keep my records straight, satisfied Uncle Sam, given me technical support when I try to install it inside-out upside-down, provided the shop and personel to install it when I can't find time to get away from more important projects, let me return it if I find out it really wasn't what I wanted, and provided me the opportunity to meet some of the best friends I have made in my whole life!
