The Confederate Air Force's B-29, named FiFi, was used to drop a fuel bomb to simulate Hiroshima, at air shows.

Some Japanese citizens took offense and complained. Supposedly the CAF was threatened with withdrawl of federal aid and waived airport fees if they did not stop being 'offensive' to the Japanese.

I have not been able to verify the story, but it is making the rounds at military vehicle club meetings.

I hope the Japanese, Germans, Italians, North Koreans, Communist Chinese and (North) Vietnese don't take offense at our army trucks.
