One-half inch cable is not listed in the 1956 Braden catalog for the MU-2 winch. What they do list (for 2/3 of full cable drum capacity) is 700' of 1/4", 450' of 5/16", and 316' of 3/8" cable. A smaller 5000 lb. rated M3H-10C winch (also with a 10" wide drum) lists 225' of 7/16" cable. A slightly heavier 10,000 lb. rated MU5-12 (with a 12" wide drum) lists both 650' of 7/16" and 500' of 1/2" cable, so there is a ratio you might use to calculate the footage of 1/2" cable for your MU-2. The 1/2" dia. cable might be a bit heavy for your MU-2, so good luck with your 'rapping, 'Bro!
