I remember the first time I heard a B-17 in flight I thought it sounded like a locomotive with wings.The one I refer to was restored by Vintage Air in Chippawa,Pa.They
have all types of warbirds under restoreation
as a non profit they welcome donations AND allow you to wander around the hanger to your hearts content.Oh yeah,a ride in that B-17 was a cool $500.00.
