The seal you have appears to be a modern design, slightly different from the original. Original NOS seals come up on ebay from time to time. The part number of the correct NOS ones is 785 609, which is listed in the early MoPar parts lists.
Attached is an image of a NOS one I bought from ebay, graciously hosted by Phil Street on his t137 site. You can also go there and see two more images of the NOS seal. One shows the part number formed into the seal. The other shows the seal twisted around in an attempt to give you an idea of the correct cross-section, as the original was one continuous section and I did not want to cut it to show a section.
You should be able to see in the images, that the seal is formed into sort of a trapezoid shape to correctly fit the cowl opening and the cross-section is square with sharp corners. There is one very small protrusion at the inside upper corner that fits up under the lip at the lower edge of the cowl vent lid. The protrusion is only about .030 tall. The remainder of the square cross-section fits flush with the cowl sheetmetal, so when closed, the vent is raised only slightly above the cowl sheetmetal.
