Hey guys i don't know if you remember when i was having all those issues with my WM300. It was backfiring and had no power. We talked extensively about points, condenser, carburetor, etc..
Finally we figured out it was the points or condenser.
Well during that time i took my carburetor apart because i though something got sucked up into it. I put it all back together. the truck ran good and life went on. well I'm having one small issue with my truck that never resolved. When I'm hitting top speed it start running out of power and kinda acts like it is starving for fuel or something along those lines. It runs perfect until i hit high rpm's on the hwy. Obviously it could be several different things but I'm interested in your thoughts. I messed with the linkage on the carb at the time. How can i test if its within spec? according to the archives its 5/64 on the accelerator pump linkage.
Can someone give me an idea of how i can test my linkage and find out if its too long or too short? from what points to measure the distance?
