Mannyc your right make sure you get the right size ,You can also use a 1/2 brass ball-valve two 1/2x5/8s tube spurs or what ever size .One purpose of these vales is to reduce heat from the hot heater core in the cab, thats why on the old cars you pulled out the heat switch which that had a cable that went to a valve on the other side of the fire wall.they also make a three way valve you put one on each hose then crossover to each other that way it circulated back into block.i like this one all you have to do is buy a cable install in dash push pull.
