I'm here in Ohio also and heat with wood. Locust is my favorite firewood. It burns like coal and leaves very, very little white powdery ash. It's the only type of wood I laid in for this winter. I expected to work away from home Jan.-Mar. and my wife only wants the best when she has to keep the fire. The standing dead bleached white ones are the best but you do need to carry the file with you. I've never seen thorns on a mature tree. The young ones have them and make clearing out brush nasty. I hope Kevin's variety does't cross pollinate with mine. Jim
Oh, yea I didn't get that job so PW funds are about dried up. I'd like to have that carryall in Va. so I may sell my extra 4bta.
