W300 power assist steering

I had a little time yesterday to check out this 1969 w300 I about 3 months ago on eBay. rear pto winch off the tranfer case and this powerap assist steering. Has any one adapted this to the wm 300 ? Also has the pto cover plate on the passenger side of the trans. Question : will a winch shaft ever pass over the front axle pumkin? For a front winch
