Surprised me too, so I asked one of the local deputies and he told me the Forest Service has the only sniffer dog around here. I can't imagine them actually sending the dog out into the woods to sniff for pot grows in North Idaho -- there can't be much -- but at least it means our local sheriff doesn't feel the need to ask the county to buy him his own sniffer dog.
