1956 1/2 ton V8 displacement question. Help if you can.

Guys,

I'm trying to figure out the displacement of a VT434 stamped V8 in a late 1956 C3-B8 1/2 ton.

My 1954-56 parts book shows the displacement for that model as 269.57ci and the page with that data was printed August 27 1956. The confusing part is that the service manual (printed 6-56), the dealer book (printed April 1956), and all the brochures I can find show the displacement in the 1956 C3-B8 as 259.2ci.

Has anyone rebuilt their VT434 stamped engine? Do you know what the bore was? Does anyone have any other data on this like a TSB or something?
