I got a roll of it in a large gov't surplus lot some years ago. Even then, the silver content was worth as much as I paid for the whole lot. The stuff I have is NIIN 002624191, approx 50% silver. The alloy is very similar to "BAg-1" commercial spec. If you Google that, you'll find a number of suppliers. Jewelers used to use it because the color matches gold, but it melts at a lower temperature than gold. The jewelers are getting away from cad-bearing solders because of the toxicity. Before you get too excited about cadmium, though, remember all the "cad-plated" screws you probably handled and maybe even put in your mouth years ago, and you didn't get poisoned. It's about like lead in terms of toxicity.
