Try a set of the spark plug anti-oil foulers(I don't know the regular term). I have a set from an old IHC BD 264 which was in dire need of new rings/guides(it had compression numbers in the 100 psi range). These screw into the plug hole and plug then screws into them, setting the plug out 1/2" from normal and providing a small chamber for the plug tip to reside in(perhaps allowing for a hotter plug to be used, I don't know). This simple device is claimed to help avoid fouling of the electrode/ground strap/insulator by excessive oil consumption.
