OT question on 3 liter Mitsu engine

I have a 91 LeBaron coupe I purchased new, V6 (Mistubishi) with 5 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, even a factory CD player.

Well it has run great, mid 30s mpg at 65 mph etc. Now has 145,000 miles. But it developed a miss, which the dealer checked plugs, wires distributer cap, compression etc....all look good and he now suspects it is a partially block fuel injector. This actually makes some sense, the miss was bad under load but not when running at low load.

But the question....can these injectors be improved with any additives, solvents etc? Replacing all this is a pricey job.
