From looking at the chart listing year and model, the WDX's were only produced from 45 through 47. So it's no longer an either/or dilemma. Quite often you'll see folks advertising the wrong model for a given year. Best bet is call to confirm data plate and VIN#. Differences of WDX's and B, C, W etc. models have been discussed in previous postings. At the risk of shooting myself in the toe, there's not a lot of major differences. Sure the engine, transmissions, and some other cosmetic items were changed, but they all pretty much looked the same, rode the same, (read: "buckboard"!) drove the same, and accomplished the same hardy tasks. Given a chance to pick one out of a lineup, I'd opt for one with the original 12V system, simply for the opportunities that system offers. I know that FoMoCo would carry over a previous years model, for example a late production 1946 when sold in 1947, would appear as a 1947 on the title. That was a fairly common practice back then. I had one of these, a 1946 Super Deluxe Coupe. Major trim differences between the two years, but never could convince DMV in WA of that. Love those old cars and trucks.
