T116 is the Dodge "T"ruck engineering code for the 1941-1947 1 ton 2X4 "D" load range trucks.
If your engine serial number is below T116-42001, the engine is 217 cubic inches (3-1/4" bore X 4-3/8" stroke). If it is T116-42001 or higher, the engine is 230 cubic inches (3-1/4" b X 4-5/8" s).
The T116 block is not correct for year 1948, and is not correct for a 1948 B-1-PW, which should have an engine block stamped T137-XXXXX.
