Usually the number is on the side of the web (top cover), but may not be in the same place for the square top.

Standard Motor Products, Inc. Make a Hygrade kit# 101A that fits BB from 39-56. My guess is that it will work. Looking at the picture in my parts book, the carb body looks close to the round top. Give it a try.
