Didn't Disney do "7 Years in Tibet"? they managed to get into Tibet to film all the Lhasa scenes and of course the mountain scenes, I think the Chinese government thought it was going to turn out differently that it did. when they saw the final cut they tried HARD to get Disney to quash the whole movie. I'll bet they even offered to buy it from them for X million $$. But Disney stood their ground and released the movie. I've got to give them credit for that.
We can re-hash WW2 and generally learn lessons from the past, but the purpose of lessons and the danger of ignoring them lies in the future. And somehow I don't think Japan is going to be the problem in that part of the world.
