Quick change gear box would be OK, otherwise junk it.

I had one with the bucket o' gears. Way too much hassle to change feed speeds, so used it hand feed. Changed gears only to thread. But for the occasional small part it was worth about what I paid for it. I finally upgraded to a Chinese one, so old it was made in Formosa. It needed a couple broken cast iron gears replaced, but is well worth the cost for the upgrade.
