I don't see that. Yes, if you change only the dwell, which is the amount of time the points stay closed, you will change the timing. However, you always set the timing, which is when the points open, AFTER you set the dwell, so what really happens is if you increase the dwell by a degree, the points CLOSE a degree sooner.
