Fogging oils everything in the combustion chambers so nothing rusts. What happens when you leave an engine sit for extended periods is the rings rust grooves into your cylinder walls. If you properly fog an engine it lubricates everything & keeps corrosion away until you're ready to fire it back up. Not just boats...any vehicle that sits for extended periods.
