I just sold a truck on CL. I purposely asked everyone to respond through the CL email reply system. I did not list my email or my phone no.
I could tell the spammers from the sincere ones by how insistent they were on my giving them my phone number. That and the obvious lack of ability to spell or to form a sentence that made sense in English.
