My truck seemed so much more relaxing to drive with some caster. I milled my own shims out of steel. Now I want to cut a weld some caster into my mountain bike.

So far as overflow, the HUGE top tank is there to allow for expansion. Drain some out, and don't worry about a surge tank. You are running a pressure cap, eh?
