Manny, the exaust is a good deal, I'm running them on my truck now. my muffler man I trust completely, left it with him and told him to fix me up. whatn he did was set the exaust up with two woven expansion joints, one between the manifolds and one directly behind the rear manifold. Bruce said he has seen them crack and break because the pipe was solid between. (the solid pipe will push the two manifolds apart as it heats up. Bruce ran me 2.25 between and then together and into the muffler, 2 inch out the side just like the stock pipe. mine is nice and quiet, running them back to one will give a little more umph on low end, and keep the noise down. I run two aces on mine so that won't apply to you. I have a single bbl carb out in the shop and don't know whats it's from, but is 3/16 bigger bore than our stock carbs. 265,251, ??? but would be an alternate route to think about. I didn't like the sound of a six that is split in half, so I wanted mine as a single out the back. Dave.
