disc brake conversions

the picture is of a pw hub that i recieved back recently from the machinist doing the disc brake hub machining for rays kits. previously there were 8 bolts and now there are 4 that hold the rotor on. i was assured by the machinist that this would be sufficient and it is how they are done now.
opinions on 4 vs 8 bolts??
