I'll second that. I live in Anchorage, Ak. Our winters are similar to what Jerry described. I have a set of the STA Super Lugs on my '46 WDX and they work so much better than the original NDT's. For one, I don't have to worry about the back end coming around on me while turning through an intersection. And I beleive they are still made in America.
