front axle/pumkin removal 1960wm300 1 ton pw

I want to change 4.8 gears from a 1960 wm300 to a 47wdx. I got the rear pumpkin and axles out alright but am having trouble tith the front ones. I have removed pumpkin bolts and axle bolts but they wont come out. I know I'm showing my ignorance here but would someone please explain the procedure for front axle/pumpkin removal for me. Thanks so much.
