driving the feight train home from Lee

some where in the mud and fun of lee I did some damage to the 230 in my m37 the motor only has 2 to 3000 miles sense a full rebuild it started smoking like I had a wood stove under the hood after a hard ride up a good size hill at first I was hoping it was just a drink of oil from the air cleaner but it is still bad after a 3 hour ride home I checked the compression and i have 100 to 110 in all cyl it starts and idles fine the funny thing is close to home there is a long down hill stretch that I was using the engine as a brake the smoke was worse than ever with the throttle plate closed any ideas
