I doubt were on the same page as far as vehicles but on my upper column mount its a round rubber bushing that mounts between the dash panel on the column and the lower bracket bolts up to the dash panel and hold the lower half. I didn't want to take the column out so i cut it in half and inserted the top piece and then the lower piece.
