I thought some of you might be interested in this...

Just removed the rear shocks from my 55FFPW. Two different ones. The one with the longer upper is the one I was able to get the numbers off of. It looks to be an original with the DP logo stamped on it. Made in Monroe Mich. This shock has a flap of metal on the bottom of the upper section, don't know what it is for?

The other shock has what I'm guessing is a stone guard at the bottom end? It has a shorter upper section. I was unable to see the numbers on this shock after wire brushing. I'll give it another try later.

Both shocks compress and expand very easily by hand. I will be replacing them with the Monroe 66707 Gas-Magnum 60 Shock Absorber
