4.89 vs 5.83 (more thoughts)

I think the 4.89 conversion would be the most practical IF a conversion is practical. For my little town in North Idaho, 40 miles away from any other town, and surrounded with hills, the 5.83 gears allow me to cruise around in town in 4th gear, unless I have to stop at one of the 5 stop signals. Turning a corner without down shifting is easy, because of the low ratio. I wonder how that would all be if I did choose to convert to 4.89 and leave the stock 230 engine?
