Brass bushing wont drive onto knuckle.

Im doing the knuckle rebuild and ive got every thing off. Now im driving the upper bronze bushing on but it really wont go on. Also flakes of metal are coming off inside. Im following the shop manual so i dont see why there is a problem.seems like the bushing is too small or something...
