I found a very comprehensive article on the new air conditioning refrigerant that is being used in the new model Cadillac's here and is now required in Europe. The article is probably too detailed unless you have an interest in doing air conditioning work. The new refrigerant will eventually end the DIY servicing of automotive air conditioning systems.

A new plant is being built in China to provide the refrigerant. Until it is operational, there will be a shortage of the refrigerant.
